What is Self Care?

Self care is healthy habits that you do to take care of yourself,
which improve your quality of life through peace of mind, love, and
care. It looks different for everyone, and there are different types
that suit each person differently.
Self care is important for the health of your body and mind. It means
that you set time apart from your routine schedule to take care of
yourself. To some people, that means closing out the day with skin
care, or starting the morning with a refreshing shower and fruit
smoothie. To others, it can be a nice day of fishing or a stroll with
a doggo.
Mental & Emotional
Take a deep breath, have a moment for yourself, think happy thoughts. Give yourself a break if you've been thinking too hard, everything's gonna be ok. The world can wait two seconds for you to take a deep breath. To keep your mentality healthy, take notice in what is giving you stress, even if certain things seem are hard to let go of. Anything causing you stress and unhappiness should be acknowledged and dealt with. Negativity is a nono.
Physical
Get up, get a drink of water. Breathe. Splash you face with some water and eat a little snack. There are many ways to take care of yourself physically, such as skin care, exercise, and constantly hydrating. Your body is used in your everyday life, so pay attention to when it acts up and take good care even when everything is fine.
Treating Yourself
Take yourself out to dinner! It doesn't have to be expensive, just something that makes you smile. Give yourself a little gift, or go see a nice view. Eating well, with a variety of nutrition can greatly improve the quality of your life. Balance some time to spend with others and some time to focus on yourself. You're the star of you world at times like this.
